robyn's not-so-infinite playlist*

I was on the road for five hours today, because I went to visit my "little" sister at college. (She's eleven years younger, but two inches taller than I.) With all that driving, I did a lot of listening in the car. Here's a sampling of some of the more notable things I heard:
In addition to five hours of driving, I did about four hours of shopping with my sister. Aside from work clothes and neat-smelling body wash and stuff for use at the gym, I bought books. What? You're not surprised? Anyway, today Barnes & Noble provided me with Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (which will be my lunch break reading), and The Year of Living Biblically (which will be my at-home reading). That is, I will read those books after I finish The Gift of Asher Lev, which is taking me forever, but which I don't mind because I am savoring it.

So, that's enough of my rambling. I had a good weekend. I had fun with my sister. And now I'm going to eat and relax and read.

*Some of the songs I have listed may be way old, but I don't have a radio at home, and I generally listen to NPR in the car, so I'm particularly clueless about new music these days.

**Formerly, Panic! at the Disco. I miss the exclamation point. (!)

I LOVE Ravi Zacharias- I could listen to him, R.C. Sproll, or John Piper talk all day! I realize with little Joshua- reading is not much of an option for me anymore- so listening to sermons and such have been so helpful to me! Enjoy books while you are in a part of life that allows you too!!!! I miss reading three books at the same time :) But I wouldn't change where I am for all the books in the world! I MISS YOU ROBYN!!!

@Tracy: I enjoy Ravi Zacharias, too. I don't listen to him frequently, but when I do, it's so refreshing. I like how he exemplifies that just because you are a believer, it does not mean that you have to "check your brain at the door". His title, "Let My People Think" says it all.

I'm glad you had fun with your sister. I'll have to check out your musical choices :)

Robin.. I think loving three out of five of the songs on your playlist means we TRULY should have been better friends in law school. Damn that section divide!
