I Can't Control My Brain
>> Tuesday, November 24, 2009
Last night I told my husband how, almost as soon as my head hits the pillow, I start having these crazy dreams. I mean, like a three-ring circus of crazy parading through my head all. night. long. He said something along the lines of, "Can't you just not have those dreams?" As if. For the most part, while I'm asleep, I have no control over where my mind goes.
Which reminds me of this song...
P.S. I didn't tell my husband that the other night, I had the craziest dream of all. I dreamt that I had bought a puppy. Not just any puppy--one of these. I'm not a dog person, or an animal person for that matter, but my husband has been working on me. Oh, shoot. I'm going to have to buy him a puppy. Maybe. Someday.
P.P.S. I mean rescue a puppy. Buying puppies is so barbaric. Who would do such a thing? Sheesh! Down with puppy mills!

That is the cutest dog. How can you resist? Get that man a dog! lol. By the way, wacky dreams are fun - go with it!
Grief getting a puppy is like getting a baby... lots of hard work, mess to clear up and they eat you out of house and home.....
noo nooo .... suggest you change your bedtime routine...
make it more relaxing:
cup of warm milk/coca
NO alcohol
warm (not hot bath)
soothing massage to ease tension... see husbands have a variety of uses for
a) opening up pickled onion jars
b) giving out soothing massages
maybe get some lavender and tuck that under your pillow...
:0D
Good advice, Ahavah...I really do need to change my bedtime routine. Right now, my routine is turn off the tv and get ready for bed. No calming transition whatsoever.
ditch the tele ... your little grey cells are still on overdrive.. guess that also applies to books that are racey, murder/detective etc etc...
foot massages are a great way to relax or indeed a hand massage... amazing how much tension their is in ones hand dont you think?
